About the Conference and its Objectives
With the aim to create awareness and increase production & consumption of millets, United Nations, at the behest of the Government of India, declared 2023 the International Year of Millets. In order to celebrate the International Year of Millets, GIET University organized a number of events related to Millets such as Millets Innovation Challenge, Millets Webinar Series, Millets4U 2 StayHealthy and Online Quiz for Millets Awareness.
After getting the huge responses from above mentioned events, again GIET University is coming with an International Conference on Millets for Sustainable Society (ICMSS-2023) in Hybrid Mode. Objectives of the ICMSS-2023 is to provide / identify -
a platform to discuss and deliberate upon the significance of Millets.
challenges and thereby provide solutions for making millets accessible to the masses so as to ensure nutritional as well as food security.
suggestions to the policymakers, research organizations, government agencies through the research paper presentation and experiences shared during the conference.

Submission Guidelines
Academicians, practitioners, and research scholars wishing to present at the conference are invited to submit 250-300 Ms-Word abstract of continuous text describing their current work for consideration by programme committee in email icmss@giet.edu by 15th May 2023 (Closed ). Decision on acceptance will be notified to authors by 22nd May 2023 after the peer-review process. For accepted abstracts, at least one author must register and present at the conference to be considered for the Conference proceedings.
Contributions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this conference.
The conference proceeding will be published with ISBN number & in the post conference, all presenters will have the option to submit full papers for possible publication with the following journals (approval pending) / edited books associated with the ICMSS-2023 Conference.
Edited books on “The Role of Women in Cultivating Sustainable Societies through Millets”/“Intelligent Engineering Applications and Applied Sciences for Sustainability” by the IGI Global publisher.
